What is “Japanese Lesson Studio” ?
Course is available both in-person and online.
Zoom recordings will be available.
Currently, various students aged between 9 and 70 are enjoying learning Japanese with me, working towards their own goals and purposes.
日本語レッスンスタジオって？
ビギナーからアドバンスド、また、ビジネス日本語、日本語能力試験など、目的やあなたのステップに応じて学ぶことができます。
現在、9歳から70歳までのチャレンジャーがそれぞれのゴールやも目的をもって日本語を楽しんでいます。
A lot of Year 9, 10 or 11 students come to me after school to learn Japanese as a second or third language because their schools don’t have Japanese classes.
They want to go to Japan one day and teach English! This year, many of my students passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test!
アフタースクールタイムには、「将来、日本で英語の先生か日本語の先生になりたいのだけれど 現地高校には日本語授業がないから」という理由で、Year9, Year10 or Year 11 第2、第3外国語として日本語を学びたいとやってきます。
そして、なんと今年は、たくさんの生徒さんがJLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) に合格しました！

Studio location
My studio is located in Kaiapoi, about 20minutes’ drive outside of Christchurch.
Most of my students prefer lessons in person so they come over to my home to learn Japanese. However, some students take online lessons via Zoom etc if they live too far or prefer evening lessons. I generally don’t do lessons outside of my home.
I use customized teaching materials and methods to cater for everyone’s needs.
Some people enjoy learning Japanese so much that many of them become encouraged to challenge themselves by sitting the “Japanese Language Proficiency Test” (JLPT).
JLPT grades can be particularly useful for people whose goal is to study or work in Japan, and I can also offer JLPT focused intensive courses for those who are interested.
私の家はカイアポイにあり、街までおよそ2５分のところです。
ほとんどの生徒さんは、in person を希望されているので、私の家にきて勉強します。
しかし、遠方で来られない人や夜の時間帯の人はZOOMを使ってオンラインで勉強しています。
（※ 基本、私から生徒さんの家に行くことはありません）
勉強しているうちにどんどん日本語の勉強が楽しくなり、「JLPT: Japanese Language Proficiency Test」に挑戦したいと思う人もたくさんいます。
特に、日本への留学や日本での就職を目標にしている人には、この「JLPT」のグレードを持っていることは有効ですので、そういう方には、JLPTにフォーカスしたサポートもしています。
Lesson Courses
If you prefer to study at your own pace, you can book a Private lesson. If you want to learn in a group and make new friends, I can organize a group lesson! Enjoy learning Japanese in a style that suits you!
マイペースでじっくり一人で勉強したい人は、「プライベートレッスン」で。 たくさんの仲間と一緒にグループで勉強したい人は、「グループレッスン」で。 あなたに合ったスタイルで、楽しく勉強しましょう！
★Private lessen (Face to face / Online)★
- Private Lessons can be taken online via Zoom, from anywhere in the world!
The lessons will be catered to your levels and learning styles, so if you would like to learn Japanese at your own pace, Private Lessons are for you.
Please note that the available time slots for Private Lessons are currently very limited.
People who are too busy or live too far can have lessons too! I can email you worksheets in advance and the lessons can be carried out online via Zoom.
忙しくて行き来の時間が取れない！という方、遠くにお住いの方でもレッスン可能。 事前にワークシートをメールでお送りし、Zoomを使って勉強します。
